Latchet / Red Gurnard is a mild, sweet-flavoured fish that is low in oil. Latchet has a firm, small textured flesh that holds together well when cooking. 

Latchet is ideal for frying, crumbing, steaming, baking, poaching grilling and soups. However Latchet often has dry moisture levels, so be careful not to dry out when cooking. 

Perfect for fish and chips! 

Our favourite way to prepare Latchet is battered or crumbed followed by deep-frying until golden brown and crispy, paired with some freshly fried chips and salad. 

Each portion of Latchet is: 

• Wild caught.
• Minimum weight of 500g.
• 5-6 fresh, skinless and boneless fillets.
• A sustainable seafood choice.
