Flake also known as Shark is a mild, sweet-flavoured fish that is low in oil. Flake has firm, medium textured flesh that holds together well when cooking. 

Flake is ideal for frying, crumbing, steaming, baking, grilling, curries and soups. 

Flake often have a dry moisture level, so be careful not to dry out when cooking. 

Perfect for fish and chips! 

Our favourite way to prepare Flake is battered or crumbed followed by deep-frying until golden brown and crispy, paired with some freshly fried chips and salad. Flake is commonly used in fish and chip shops.

Each portion of Flake is: 

• Wild caught.
• Local product
• Minimum weight of 500g.
• 2-3, skinless and boneless fillets.
